For the last couple shows and for our next at September 10th at Rancho Relaxo we have had posters made by my girlfriend (me, being Jeff), the very talented Dara Skolnick.
Check out more of Dara’s work at her website and her Flickr. Thanks so much to Dara for all her great work!

It’s been a while since any updates have appeared on our website. All the while, we’ve been having an incredibly busy, productive and fun time as a band. Since the last post we’ve played two more great shows – one at the Smiling Buddha and one at the Savannah Room and we have another show upcoming at Rancho Relaxo on September 10th. New songs are shaping up, and we hope to get down to recording again soon.
In the meanwhile, we’ve been experimenting with recording our live shows. the Smiling Budda recording didn’t work out very well, but we think we have something passable to show from the Savannah Room. Keep in mind that this is a very rough recording made from a microphone in the room (the board was a little messed up) and as such it’s noisy and really not the best presentation of these songs. That said, we think it’s pretty cool to have a record of our performances and be able to hear these new songs and old songs with drums. Check out the two new songs – Ghosts from the War and The Moroccan.
So forgive us for the sound quality and download the songs (and a couple interludes) below as individual mp3s or as one zip file.
Enjoy and look out for more news coming soon!

This Wednesday we played our first live set with new and excellent drummer Matt Butash to a great crowd at Rancho Relaxo.
We decided to record the show in order to share it with everyone. Unfortunately the first couple songs (The Spanish One and Chronicles) came out distorted due to volume levels being too high. While the recording of the other songs isn’t the best, we still want to share the songs with you. Apologies for some distortion in the tracks and the rough mix (piano and Jon’s vocals are obviously much too low.)
With that said, we hope you enjoy these recordings as a taste of The Printing Press with drums.
Keep your ear out for the brand new song I Thought I Died.
You can listen and download the songs individually from the links below or as one big zip file.
Thanks to everyone who came out!

This past Thursday March 13th, the Printing Press played a show at Rancho Relaxo in Toronto. At the show we gave out a CD to everyone in attendance with three brand new Printing Press recordings on it. Some of these CDs remain and are likely to be given out and future shows, but we’re also making these three songs available to download right here for anyone who wants to.
The three songs on this EP of sorts are Chronicles, Another Wall, and To Dreaming. Chronicles and Another Wall were recording almost a month ago while To Dreaming is an improvisational demo that we happened to capture while recording a practice session. Everything on the recording of To Dreaming was made up as we went along, and it was so good we knew that we had to share it.
We hope you enjoy these songs as a prelude to our next album. Stay tuned for more show announcements!
Each song is available as an MP3 at the links below or as a zip file containing all three.

We hope to put on a great show, and the other bands are all excellent too. We hope to see you all there on the 13th!
